Just as the Midwest and Northeast wave goodbye to a winter storm, an even stronger one is on its way this weekend. Freezing rain is again a concern for many areas, but the major difference will be significantly heavier snowfall.

Snow will fall from Minnesota to Maine, with heavy amounts probably falling from Wisconsin to Massachusetts. Freezing rain and sleet will also be a big issue, especially south of Interstate 80 from Ohio through New Jersey.

Thursday’s sloppy morning precipitation has come and gone, but a Winter Storm Watch is already in place for our next round of wintry weather on the way this weekend. For snow lovers, this could be a good one!
